The best book on Auburn University footballMay 16, 2007
By David Rosenblatt
"David"
I had a chance to see a review copy of this book, 'Auburn University Football Vault' by David Housel. The author served as Auburn's Sports Information Director from 1981-1994, and then as Auburn's Director of Athletics from 1994-2005. He is the definitve 'Auburn Man', who knows more about Auburn's sports history than anyone!
I have been waiting for this book for years, but did not know it until I actually read it. This lovingly done interactive book is a treasure for Auburn, and all football fans across the country. If you want to see/read a great photographic and narrative book to learn about Auburn's great football heritage from 1892-2006, I highly recommend that one purchases this book.
The historical replica pullouts alone are worth the price of the book. Add to that the great photography and narrative by Housel, and I would think that this book would cost $100.00. But, it doesn't.
A great book for Father's Day.

I Bleed Orange & BlueJan 24, 2008
By M. Traywick My husband and I are die-hard Auburn fans and I always give him some sort of Auburn gift for Christmas but how many T-shirts, caps & mugs can one person have? This past Christmas in search of something really different I bought the AUBURN VAULT book and IT WAS OUTSTANDING!!!!! My son and I spent about 2 hours looking at it when I brought it home - all the while watching the front door for any signs of my husband. We could hardly tear ourselves away from it to wrap it. MY HUSBAND ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT!! We look at it all the time remembering past games and experiences. A MUST HAVE FOR ANY AUBURN FAN!!

Best Book I ever gave a clientJan 14, 2008
By LKC Sharing the status of Auburn Alumni with a favorite client, i thought this book would be a perfect Christmas gift for him. Not only did he absolutely love it, but i received a letter from his wife telling me it was his prized Christmas gift of '07. She said he kept it on the table by his chair and jumped at the chance to share it with anyone who came through the door. It is truly a vault of the best memorabilia. There are old rally caps, football tickets and footage from some of the great players and coaches that's completely unseen or heard before David Housel eloquent account of the history of Auburn Football. No matter the age of the fan, this book is truly a prized possession.
