Completely outdated. Only useful for collectors.Feb 11, 2011
By Roonil Wazlib This book makes me laugh, some of the things it says. I bought it at a thrift store without looking at the date, thinking it might be useful for home medical care. The first time I went to use it I burst out laughing at what it said. Then I started looking through it more and more and it really is ridiculous.
Here's an excerpt from the "Concerns of Women" chapter. "Marriage is the natural expectation of all young women. The prospective bride should be helped to understand her sexual responsibilities in marriage." Then it goes on to refer to hysterectomy as "the female operation". I don't recommend this book to anyone unless you want a good laugh or you collect old books.
