satisfies my secret obsessionSep 23, 2009

I am one of those people who are just obsessed with ghosts. Ghost hunting, ghost photos, ghostly recordings -- ghost STORIES. In this compilation of the best stories from her two previous books, author E. Parker delivered a highly satisfying read for a cool autumn night. The book has plenty of atmosphere: romantically spooky Southern homes dripping with moss and ethereal angst combine with just the right sorts of questions that make the reader go "woooooo" in the night. Seriously, the stories are presented in an interesting and believeable voice that conjures vivid emotional connection to the hauntees and to the haunts. Thank you, Ms. Parker, for introducing us to the haunts of Mobile, Alabama.
