Lots of reproducible ideas and creative activities for November.Jun 16, 2008
By Miriam Martinez Medina The book begins with a day-by-day list of all the celebrations throughout the month (not only the famous ones but others as well...do you know when Mickey Mouse's birthdate is?), and then a reproducible calendar for the classroom with clip art of symbols to place on the calendar.
November idea book contains reproducibles for the following topics: Harvest Activities (which includes information about worldwide harvest festivals, cornhusk patterns, a cornucopia, bookmarks, certificates, pencil toppers, and more), Woodsy Animals (poems, activities, puppets, clip art, masks, a shapebook), Children's Book Week (lots of book report alternatives, a reading record, certificates), Elections (word search, bulletin board displays, a letter to the president, campaign button, president cards, republican and democrat stand-up mascots), Thanksgiving (activities, coloring pages, costumes, finger puppets, place cards, lined paper, bulletin board displays), Turkey Time (booklet, centerpiece, bulletin board displays, recipe card, Math turkey wheel, moveable turkey, puppet), States and Capitals (reports, maps, bingo game) and Working with Parents (all forms for Parent-Teacher conferences).
All the books in the collection contain reproducible international children that can be used for multicultural bulletin boards. For this month, the kids featured are a Pilgrim boy and a Pilgrim Girl. And for every holiday, you will find not only lots of creative activities but also historical information to support the learning.
Great resources for the elementary teacher!

Love them all!Jan 28, 2009

"I tried it out and..."
I have the entire set of these books and love them all. The fact that everything is reprintable is such a valuable addition to any teachers library. So many books are offered like these, but when you get them they will have many pages in bold color which doesn't reprint with any kind of quality. These are clear, full size, and perfect for in-class worksheets. All kinds of great ideas to help you plan ahead of time and even covers the holidays that one might forget about until they are upon you and it's too late to squeeze into an already busy class curriculum. Highly Recommended!
